The spacious lobby provides an impressive entryway to the Blessed Michael McGivney Pilgrimage Center. Here, the two-story atrium becomes the setting for one of the Blessed Michael McGivney Pilgrimage Center's most impressive features: a 400-year-old cross from atop St. Peter's Basilica.

The large copper cross was part of the statue of Christ the Redeemer that stood on top of St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome. The cross is a gift from Saint John Paul II in recognition of the Order’s two-year restoration of St. Peter’s façade that was completed in 1986.
